Scores and Scoring
Scoreboards are used to throughout the games. The default scoreboard is called Scores and is displayed in the lobby and throughout most of the games. Note though, some games will have their own scoreboard to record progress in that game. When this is needed the context will change as seen on the pictures when Princess Stevie enters the Combat Arena and players kills are recorded.
In most games, as seen in the picture below, points are awarded to the players depending on how they performed in the game. When the game is over the players in their position take the following points which are awarded by pressing the appropriate button:
First place - Diamond - 7 points
Second place - Gold - 5 points
Third place - Iron - 3 points
Fourth place (and possibly beyond) - Copper - 1 point
At the start of a session a decision needs to be made by the players where to play in Competitive or Fun mode. The difference is simple:
Competitive mode any players beyond fourth place won’t receive any points
Fun mode all players from Fourth place onwards receive one point.
Whilst this scoring methodology is pretty typical there are two broad exceptions to how points are awarded:
Completion - some games require completion to get any points. These can be a set amount for all players or on a tiered basis as above.
In game points - some games will award points as your progress without the need to collect any at the end of the game.
Sometime things can go wrong, if you find your score has gone a bit wonky, forgot your prize or accidentally pressed a button twice you can visit the score section and rectify that either adding or subtracting.
